- Unlike an MLA research paper, an APA term paper does have a title page. It will contain:
- A running head on the top of the page
- A title of your APA term paper
- Your name
- A name of your school
- On the title page, in the upper left corner, you running head should begin with the words “Running head: “. A short title of your page is typed in all capital letters, for example:
Running head: MEASURING NATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS
Your short subheading will appear on every page of your APA term paper, but in a right upper corner. After it, there will be five spaces and a page number.
- The title of an APA term paper reference list is “References”, not “Works Cited” or “Bibliography”.
You will find many sample APA term papers on the Internet. You can check them to see how the APA guidelines work in practice. However, this should not be instead of working with the APA guide: when copying the format from sample APA term papers, you risk making mistakes.
