Remember a case when you listened to a talker who was not able to narrate easily and made numerous mistakes. Perhaps, you did not even understand whether his/her ideas were worth listening. Analogically, the research paper format is a frame which carries your brilliant ideas. The research paper format makes your writing clear and readable.

Basic Requirements of the Research Paper Format

Follow the requirements set by the research paper format throughout your research paper:

  • Font: 12-pt. Times New Roman (as well, APA-style allows Courier and requires Arial for figures).
  • Spacing: double-spaced.
  • Alignment: flush left (the right margin will remain uneven).
