What is a coursework mark for you?
 
Is it something you worry about? Is it important for you because of the final course grade?
 
It is ok to be anxious about your coursework mark, but it is wrong to care about it only because of the final grade. So, try to change your vision of the coursework marks as a whole and you will be surprised by the positive results you might get.
 
First of all, remember that a coursework mark is something that shows the quality of your skills and knowledge. So, if you receive a poor coursework mark - you should question yourself, and then the teacher, why you were given this coursework mark. Sometimes, we deserve what we get and this is about being honest with yourself, but sometimes the time for a conversation with your examiner comes, when you have an opportunity to oppose the opinion of your examiner.
 
Secondly, always strive for excellence: certainly, there is someone who might be better than you are, but he/she is your rival who should inspire you to compete and, sooner or later, become the number one.
 
Thirdly, coursework mark is not as important as what stands behind it. This coursework mark should be supported with the knowledge you have and experience you received.
 
When your examiner is grading you, he/she gives you a certain coursework mark on the basis of the following criteria: idea development, overall presentation of the paper, thesis statement of the coursework, incorporated materials and sources.
 
So, if you are confident in your skills - you should not worry about your coursework mark.
